TEACHING ESSAY WRITING THROUGH A PROCESS-BASED APPROACH

Abstract

The article examines the role and importance of the process-based approach in teaching essay writing. It highlights the use of process-oriented methods for analyzing, planning, drafting, revising, and editing written texts. Particular attention is paid to the application of the process approach in solving problems related to idea generation, coherence, organization, and lexical accuracy. In addition, the significance of feedback, peer review, and multiple drafting in developing students' writing proficiency is analyzed.
