INFORMATION IS THE MOST EFFECTIVE POWER IN THE XXI CENTURY

Abstract

Discussing the nature and transformation of power in the XXI century, the famous American futurologist Alvin Toffler concludes that as we enter the "information age" knowledge becomes "the most versatile and fundamental instrument of power" and "gives its owner the most effective power". In this article, the author will examine Alvin Toffler`s theory and try to find out if the futurologist correctly predicted the future. There will also be an analogy between Toffler's predictions and the types of power of the 21st century.
