Abstract
The content of textbooks should provide students with the skills of independent and free thinking, the gradual enrichment and improvement of knowledge, independent learning, the search for new knowledge in textbooks. The concept of creating a new generation of educational literature for the system of continuing education provides their definition and forms.In the "Concept of creating a new generation of textbooks for continuing education" the issue of educating individuals with sufficient intellectual potential, independent thinking and observation on the basis of modern scientific achievements, as well as the training of competitive, highly qualified personnel to create a new generation of textbooks. It is shown that a certain part of the textbooks, which are ideologically outdated in terms of content and essence, published in a completely traditional (printed) way, do not meet the requirements and needs of the new education system.
