Abstract

This article examines the scientific value of the encyclopedic work of the great 11th century scholar Mahmud Kashgari and the Devonu lug'otit turk, which is a rare monument of the Turkic language in general, in particular, the degree of maturity of the linguistic analysis of lexical units. comments are stated. In particular, the semantic features of toponyms, ethnotoponyms, ethnonyms, hydronyms, zoonyms, onomastic and kinship terms and other field-specific lexicons are briefly described in the work.
