Abstract

The article discusses the role of lexical competence in forming professional and communicative competence of students in technical higher education institutions. The author offers educational materials that can be used to read specialist texts and to study the terminology of agriculture, in particular, "Water Management and Reclamation", based on existing literature and personal experience in learning Russian in technical universities.
