Abstract

Modern methods and means of monitoring the state of the environment at mining and oil and gas production facilities do not differ in efficiency either in sampling or in making management decisions. For operational control of atmospheric air pollution in open-pit mining and methane leaks along main gas pipelines, we propose to equip quadrocopters with portable gas analyzers, and for remote sampling from liquid storage devices-the technological schemes described below. Operational visual control of land and vegetation pollution can be provided by quadrocopters equipped with video cameras, but the technology has not yet been tested for soil sampling. The development of aeromobile technologies for environmental assessment can be successfully implemented with the financial support of stakeholders.
