RADIATION SAFETY TRAINING IN BULGARIA

Abstract

The radiation background that surrounds us is determined not only by natural sources but also by the sources of ionizing radiation. The measurement and control of this radioactive background is very important and any change in it can lead to a change in the state of living organisms. For this reason, daily control is needed and it should be performed by specialists in this field. At the National Military University "Vasil Levski" we have traditions in the training of specialists in the field of radiation protection and radiation safety and we must accept the challenge to start training in this area again. Actions have already begun to prepare documents for the accreditation of this specialty.
