Abstract

The article examines the influence of foreign languages on the development and current state of the Russian language. It analyzes the historical interaction with other language systems, identifies the main sources of borrowings, and considers changes in vocabulary, phonetics and grammar enrichment, but if used excessively, they can lead to the loss of national linguistic features.
