Abstract

FinTech (Financial Technology) has transformed India's financial landscape by improving access to banking, credit, insurance, investments, and digital payments. Government initiatives such as Digital India, Jan Dhan Yojana, Aadhaar, and Unified Payments Interface (UPI), together with the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) regulatory framework, have accelerated financial inclusion. At the same time, regulators have introduced measures to safeguard consumers, strengthen cybersecurity, ensure data privacy, and maintain financial stability. The challenge for policymakers is to encourage innovation while ensuring responsible growth of the FinTech ecosystem.
