Abstract

 The basic mechanism of Trap depth has been explained and the role of crystal imperfections in observing such an emission has been put forth. The one trapping – one recombination centre model has been discussed along with accompanied first order and second order kinetics. The basic mechanism of TL (Thermo luminescence) has been discussed Finally, the results of trap depth of undoped KCl and Sr2+ doped KCl are presented and critically examined.
