Abstract

This article substantiates the need for active, practice-oriented teaching methods that enhance students' academic motivation and independence. It outlines the key features of project-based learning in Russian language lessons, defining its stages and pedagogical potential. Special attention is given to linguistic, research-oriented, creative, and information-based projects aimed at developing students' speech, communicative, analytical, and research competencies. The article proposes specific project ideas applicable to the study of vocabulary, phraseology, grammar, speech culture, stylistics, and Russian literature. It concludes that project-based learning creates conditions for students to actively engage with language material, links the study of Russian to real-life situations, and fosters a lasting cognitive interest in the subject.
