Abstract
It is already clear that the economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic will be serious. Governments and central banks around the world are preparing for a slowdown and even a recession. The article talks about the impact of the pandemic on the economy of Uzbekistan and the unemployment that arose during the quarantine. COVID-19 subject to serious tests the economic stability of Uzbekistan, as well as other countries of the world. As a result, the global economy faced one of the deepest recessions in history. The World Bank predicts that global incomes will fall more in 2020 than at any time since 1870. The pandemic will place 70 to 100 million people worldwide in extreme poverty. What is the scale of this crisis for the Uzbeks?
