Abstract
Currently, the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power Plant (Japan) is constantly working to manage the flow of contaminated water and control the levels of radionuclides in its treatment systems. This review presents the main stages and stages of water treatment to contain the spread of radionuclides and reduce emissions into the ocean. Huge volumes of polluted water that has passed the preliminary stages of purification are stored in tanks on the territory of the station. Key issues: limited storage capacity of tanks, risk of leaks, removal of tritium from pre-treated water.
