ASSESSMENT OF SAFE OPERATION OF THE DAM ON THE DATA OF LOCAL OBSERVATIONS AND NUMERICAL CALCULATIONS
Main Article Content
Abstract
Hydraulic structures (HTS), including earth dams, perform a number of important functions that have a great impact on the economy, environmental and social sphere, therefore, the issue of their safe and reliable operation is of particular relevance. One of the main tasks for ensuring the strength of an earth dam under various types of loads is the analysis of field observations and verification with the criterion values of safety. The paper compares the results of field observations with the calculated ones, which made it possible to improve the methodology and algorithms when compiling a predictive mathematical model of the state of the structure under the main loads. The research was carried out on the example of the earth dam of the Charvak hydroelectric power station.
