Abstract

Today, an urgent problem is the development of a technology for producing cotton cellulose from low-grade linters, which ensured the rational use of water resources. The use of which would provide an acute shortage of cellulose and paper for the Republic of Uzbekistan, protect the environment, reduce energy costs, reduce the consumption of water and chemicals, and also rationally use the available raw materials. The paper presents the results of studies on the study of the possibility of re-using industrial waters in the process of obtaining cotton cellulose. The object of the study was the cooking liquor, spent liquor, industrial water after cooking and washing cellulose, the sanitary characteristics of the waste water, and the quality indicators of the products obtained.Discoloration of waste water, a decrease in the residual amount of sodium hydroxide, pH of the medium and chemical oxygen demand (COD5) and biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5) of waste liquor and flushing water have been experimentally studied.
