Abstract

In the context of the current model of the "brown economy". Many environmental problems have accumulated in Uzbekistan, such as climate change, land desertification, loss of biodiversity, depletion of water resources and degradation of land quality due to unsustainable use of them, depletion of energy resources and insufficient use of renewable energy sources. If current trends and volumes of resource consumption continue, then environmental risks for future generations will constantly increase, so it is necessary to take measures aimed at introducing modern green technologies. The strategy of transition of Uzbekistan to the "green economy" is considered. The results of research on the development of phytotechnologies for wastewater treatment are presented. The types of phytoengineering structures are characterized and data on the use of macrophytes in the wastewater treatment of gold recovery plants are presented on the example of the Angren gold processing plant and the Navoi mining and metallurgical plant. A list of hydrophytes that can be used in phyto-purification systems in Uzbekistan is given.
