ASSESSMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS OF THE PETROLEUM SUPPLY SYSTEM
Main Article Content
Abstract
Gas stations are objects of increased fire and environmental hazard, which is due to the significant volume of stored fuel, the presence of equipment operating both at atmospheric and elevated pressure, the peculiarities of conducting technological operations associated with the reception, storage and delivery of fuel, the possibility of locating the gas station within the boundaries of dense buildings settlement. The paper analyzes the environmental risks posed by three gas stations in the city of Angarsk. It was found that in the process of their operation, additional pollution enters the city atmosphere through the seals of fixed joints and shut-off and control valves, the tank farm. Emissions from these sources are fugitive. During periods of unfavorable meteorological conditions, there will be an accumulation of harmful substances in the surface layer of the atmosphere, the concentration of impurities in the air can sharply increase.
